Every Monday, one of the leaders in my networking group shares a positive quote to inspire us at the start of the workweek. I look forward to them as it is a shot in the arm to get me started.
Many of you know that I am a huge football fan. While an avid Dolphin fan since my parents purchased season tickets in 1972 (the year the Dolphins were undefeated), I really love to watch all teams. As I write this blog, it is the weekend of the Championship games (the winners of each of the two games will be in the Super Bowl). So yes, I do love football.
Now why did I begin this blog with a discussion on my love for football? Well, it has to do with a football legend, Vince Lombardi. He is such a legend that the championship trophy for American football is named after him, The Vince Lombardi Trophy.
Last week, our Monday quote came from Vince Lombardi, and I’d like to share it with you.
The Winner is always part of the answer.
The Loser is always part of the problem.
The Winner always has a program.
The Loser always has an excuse.
The Winner says, “Let me do it for you.”
The Loser says, “That’s not my job”.
The Winner sees an answer for every problem.
The Loser sees a problem for every answer.
The Winner sees a green near every sand trap.
The Loser sees two or three sand traps near every green.
The Winner says, “It may be difficult but it’s possible.”
The Loser says, “It might be possible but it’s too difficult.”
Be a Winner.
Vince Lombardi
I know I want to be a winner, and this is a quote that will stick with me forever.
