We all know the feeling of being overwhelmed as things are piling up in our inbox, to-do list, and our plate in general. And there are other projects that we’ve been looking forward to doing but cannot get to them. If we could, we would just do them all at the same time, right?
It is very tempting to over-schedule and overload our system. A good friend of mine realized how I was getting way ahead of myself. “Slow down. One day at a time.” This was his advice. And it worked wonders. Every time when I catch myself to over-schedule or over-reach my boundaries, I remind myself to just take one day at a time. It helps to put things in perspective and to make goals achievable. And ultimately, it’s less stressful for myself and the people around me.
So remember: One day at a time.
