I always say, yes, you must. Employers should promote safety and what better way than to have a plan in place that is communicated to all.
As part of a safety program, employers will establish a safety committee, provide direction with regard to incident investigations and will define various steps employees should take in doing the day-to-day activities.
In addition to promoting a safe work environment, in many instances, having a Safety Program will get a discount for worker’s compensation premiums. It’s a win-win scenario.
