This is very funny. The employees solved the problem that the manager should have solved in the very beginning. You have somebody who’s working 39 and a half hours a week, really that is full-time.
That person should be eligible for benefits, especially if they’re working regularly for 39 and a half hours. Most states say that you work 25 hours and you could be eligible for benefits. It depends upon the state. It depends upon the contract that the employer has with the carriers. Which is a whole other story, but with regard to this, I find it ironic that the two employees figured out how to solve the problem and that they would just switch schedules.
Then the guy who was assigned a full-time position is truly working full-time hours, and the one that was assigned a part-time position is working truly part-time hours.
