Well, the first thing is you need to understand, understand all the different generations and what their expectations are, what their needs are. And then it becomes a difficult task to have policies in place and how you manage people when you’re dealing with those, the multi-generations.
So that becomes an individual thing. I guess it comes down to having an understanding of what the needs are for each of those generations. I know when I first started out in the workforce, this is a great story. I remember looking at someone’s resume and saying, okay, they’ve been here. They’ve been at that other company for 20 years.
That’s somebody I want. They’re loyal and dedicated. Today, if I looked at a resume and saw somebody work for a company for 20 years, I’d wonder what’s wrong with them.
