There’s several things here that are going on that I don’t agree with. First of all, this individual who said inappropriate things should not have been given a full package, maybe offered to retire, but not give full benefits, give severance, whatever they were giving them. They could say, we’re either gonna fire you or you’re gonna resign. That’s how I would’ve presented it to that individual.
To have a witness like Veronica and tell Veronica everything, that was inappropriate as well, that just, that should not have been done at all. And bottom line, you need to take care of business and you need to be honest. You don’t throw things under the rug.
As Veronica said, take care of it in a way that you are protecting the company, but you’re also disciplining individuals.
