How the supervisor could address Emily’s issue is if she is out a lot, address attendance. If she’s out a lot, she calls in a lot, then the supervisor could address the fact that she’s missed a lot of time. But questioning the reason and what was the purpose and not believing the doctor’s note is totally unacceptable from a supervisor’s perspective, you can’t address it, but you address it in excessive absenteeism and not questioning a particular doctor’s note.
